Mental health advocacy for melanated women.

Evolving Melanated Sisters is a dedicated organization committed to raising awareness about mental health within the women of color community. Our mission is to establish a secure and inclusive platform where women can openly discuss their concerns, access tailored services, and connect with like-minded individuals for mentorship. Additionally, we aim to showcase and support businesses owned by women of color while fostering dialogue through engaging panel discussions and empowering retreat experiences.

In celebration of the official start of Evolving Melanated Sisters, LLC, we will be hosting a launch party. This event will allow you to meet the owner, and also learn about the organization as a whole. This is also an opportunity to network and potentially establish new connections both professionally and personally. Wine and refreshments will be provided.

My Sister's Keeper TBD

This is an ongoing monthly event. Each month we will host a different event geared towards helping each other grow mentally, spiritually and physically. Some events will be panel discussions, some will be Q&A based, some will include hands-on activities, and some will just be an opportunity to escape and breathe in a judgement free environment. Any suggestion on events you would like to see, are more than welcome. Events will be announced every 30 days. More details to come.

    Why I Started EMS

    For about 4 years I silently battled with my own mental heath and didn’t feel like I had adequate support. The therapist I was seeing at time wasn’t able to relate to the issues I was having as a black woman. I felt like the disconnect was hindering my healing & my growth. After praying and taking time to myself, God gave me the vision to create a safe space for women of color to evolve & seek guidance from women who look like them, women who share a common background. A space where we can support each other, mentor each other and just come together as one. Evolving Melanated Sisters is that space.
